This scroll is one of a set about four plants called the "four gentlemen" of China. They compare the plum blossom, chrysanthemum, orchid and bamboo. This one, with the plum blossoms, indicates a man who has a strong personality and who has a lot of willpower. The fish represent a happy and harmonious family that is always together.
